VertPop Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how VertPop ("VertPop," "we," "us") collects, uses, and protects information when you use the VertPop mobile application (the "App"). By using the App you agree to the practices described here.

1. Information We Collect

• Account information. When you create an account we collect your email address and, if you sign in with Google, basic profile information (name, email) provided by Google Sign-In.
• Usage data. We collect in-app activity such as content you view, your watchlist, and ratings you submit, to operate and improve the App.
• Device and diagnostic data. Standard technical data (device type, OS version, app version, and error logs) used for reliability and support.

VertPop aggregates and links to publicly available short-form drama content hosted on third-party platforms. We do not collect payment information in the App.

2. How We Use Information

• To provide and personalize the App (feeds, watchlist, ratings, recommendations).
• To authenticate you and secure your account.
• To diagnose problems, prevent abuse, and improve features.
• To communicate service-related messages (e.g., account or security notices).

3. Third-Party Services

We use trusted third-party providers to run the App. These may process limited data on our behalf:

• Supabase — authentication and database/backend hosting.
• Google — Google Sign-In (if you choose to use it).
• Apple — App Store distribution and, if applicable, Sign in with Apple.
• Cloudflare — content storage and delivery.

Playback of drama content may direct you to third-party platforms (e.g., YouTube and partner services) whose own privacy policies govern your activity there.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with the service providers above as needed to operate the App, or where required by law.

5. Data Retention

We retain account and usage data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the App. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time (see Contact).

6. Your Choices & Rights

• Access, correct, or delete your account data by contacting us.
• Manage sign-in and permissions through your device and Google/Apple account settings.

7. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. Some drama content is intended for mature audiences.

8. Security

We use industry-standard measures (encryption in transit, access controls) to protect your data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to safeguard your information.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above.
